The Southworth Lab at the Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases at UCSF manages a Titan Krios with a Gatan Bioquantum energy filter and K3 direct detector, a Glacios TEM with a Gatan K2 summit direct detector, and a Talos L120C TEM. We also manage a Helios Hydra dual beam PFIB SEM for preparation of thin lamella of biological specimens. We collaborate closely with the Bay Area Cryo-EM consortium to bring the latest in sample preparation and software developments to push the boundaries of resolution for cryo SPA and tomography.
