The Southworth Lab at the Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases at UCSF manages a Titan Krios with a Gatan Bioquantum energy filter and K3 direct detector, a Glacios cryo-TEM with a Gatan K2 summit direct detector, and a Talos L120C TEM, implementing SerialEM for high throughput automated data collection. We collaborate closely with the Bay Area Cryo-EM consortium to bring the latest in sample preparation, technological and software developments to push the boundaries of resolution for electron microscopy of biological specimens.
